曼尼托巴博物馆位于温尼伯，是该省最大、非营利的遗产与科学教育中心，关注收集、研究并分享曼尼托巴的人文与自然遗产、文化和环境。它可追到1879年 Historical and Scientific Society of Manitoba 开始收集保存遗产；1932年 Manitoba Museum Association 成立，同年12月15日博物馆在 Winnipeg Civic Auditorium 开放，由志愿荣誉策展人与小团队运转。
藏品和参观增长后，1954年董事会筹划新机构；1964年协会向 Premier Duff Roblin 的省政府提议建现代博物馆，强调不是“stuffed birds, antiquated firearms or dusty rocks”的集合，而要解释曼尼托巴的自然、历史、工业与文化。1965年立法成立 Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature 与 Manitoba Planetarium，纳入 Manitoba Centennial Centre，工程耗资 CA$3,548,700；1968年天文馆开幕，1970年女王伊丽莎白二世为 Orientation 与 Grasslands 展厅揭幕，1972年两机构合并。
1994年 Hudson's Bay Company 捐出三百年历史藏品及资金，为馆史最大企业捐赠；1997年正式改名 The Manitoba Museum，1998年东翼开放，2000年 Hudson's Bay Company Gallery 开放。2017年起资本更新扩建 Alloway Hall，2021年开放 Prairies Gallery。
